Two things I'd like to do...
(1) Create a historical league starting in the 19th century. I know Historical Replays only begin in 1901, but I've seen other on-line leagues starting as early as 1871! How exactly is this done?
(2) Create a 19th-century fictional league with more *ahem* appropriate names (not a lot of African-American or Hispanic players in those days). I remember seeing a mod somewhere that did this...anybody know? |

There's a link to two names files (one by me, attached to that thread) and another by MD, either of which work like what you're after. 643gdp PS Sorry--no help on the pre-20th century stuff. But really, the rules were SO different before 1901, is it at all "realistic" to use OOTP to simulate those years? |

http://files.simcentral.net/index/Detailed/1854.shtml and it works fine with OOTP6, just put the files intio your OOTP6 /data folder. You might also want to look at OOTPOriginMaker, which can be used in conjunction with the name generator files to convert all player origins to American home towns.

It may just be my imagination, but when I start a league in the early 1900's the names seem realistic.
Mal, with your file, do you typically overwrite it with the current one (I mean the default OOTP name files) when you reach more enlightened times?
