OOTP 6.03 No Likey The Catchers

Roster and lineup AI with 6.03 still seems disturbingly flawed. In my solo fictional league, I've seen teams under AI control leave a team with zero or only one catcher at the big league level, despite the fact that they have healthy, breathing backstops sitting at AAA.

In my online league, Lords of Baseball, the AI seems to think it is a good idea to play Dean Palmer, one of the worst fielding 3B in baseball history, at SS, a position he has no rating for. Invariably, the AI will pull my starting SS Mike Benjamin, who is probably the best defensive player in the league not named Ozzie Smith, so that this unrated defensive nightmare can take his spot on the short side.

There is no excuse for teams only carrying 1 catcher.

Indeed.

You can imagine what I think of a roster with zero catchers whilst capable players sit at AAA.
