Big Problem need advice

Ok, here's a weird one, not sure if it is a bug or what happened. . .

I'm in my fourth season of OOTP4 with the Bucs
2002 62-100
2003 80-82
2004 82-80
2005 is the one that I am playing now, but here is the problem, which I just noticed. . . MY schedule says that it is 6/30/2004!!!!!!

What gives? That season is all ready in my history. In a way it is a positive, cause I'm not getting hit with my big money guys being up for free agency, but in a way it really sucks! What is wrong?

Have you had any crashes, skipped spring training or had any other unusual things happen? I've played 100's of seasons and never had anything like this happen.

Steve,

No, I have never had a crash or skipped spring training. Very strange indeed.

Should I start over, or is there a way to edit this?

Just finished simming that season, which should have been 2005, and the same thing happened. When I proceed to next season, my schedule says that it is 2005 instead of 2006.

That makes no sense, you didn't "reset" the season before did you?

Steve,

Again, no I never resetted the league. I am using the Ghost-Rolen rosters however. Would that make a difference?

Strange, very strange

Did you edit the schedule in any way? Using a schedule from a different league file or with the schedule editor?

No, never. I think I will just start over, unless I can edit it somehow. Any suggestions?

similar problems

Going down this line of thought...

I've started a season and would like to quickly go through 3-4 years and then start playing slower with that base established. At the same time, I'll do the playoff games just for fun. I've followed this procedure a number times in starting leagues, and notice some trends. Teams that do very well in the regular season never do much in the playoffs. As said earlier, it could be my managing, but I don't know. I've had teams win 110 games and play a wildcard team that barely edged .500, and get swept. I know good teams get beat, and of course this is possible, but it seems to happen MOST of the time. It seems that actually playing the game makes the guys im managing worse. The posts about the opponents getting early starts rings especially true, I feel I'm always rallying. This is all nonsense though because the engine is the same.

Strange nonetheless.

Many teams that pile up 100 win seasons have done that against inferior competition, then in the playoffs they play the good teams.

Check out the regular season records head - to - head of the teams that are matching up in the playoffs and see if there is still some odd disparity. (Especially if it can't be explained by injury or trade)
