Double Play PbP

I'm sure people have noticed this. Every time there's a double play, if the PbP annouces the players name out at 2b, then its a double play every time, and vise versa. Is there a way to change it up? There's no suspense in the double plays.

Does that mean there were a few tweaks to the Pbp? That would be splendid, watching the same text roll by game after game reminds me of listening to my girfriend -- same thing over and over! (shhhhhh... don't tell her I said that)

Cool. That has been one of those little things that has been under my skin since OOTP3.

I've probably played out like 200 games with OOTP6, and I had definitiely noticed the double play thing.

But the odd thing is, three times in the last 2 weeks of games, I've seen a player thrown out trying for a double, which NEVER happened before that.

And it would seem that I had 6.02 installed long enough before that that it wasn't a change from that patch.

Just something I found interesting that went well in this thread.

This is great news for me. I have been asking for this since OOTP3. Hope they have added other plays to the play-by-play that are missing.

I hope players now get thrown out at second more than third, while trying to stretch a hit. In versions 3 through 5, I never saw it happen at second, but at third a lot.

MARKUS-

While you are at it... the double play PBP that says..."Smith with a quick throw to first"...the runner at first is always safe. No suspense here.

PS-With 6.02 I have experienced at bad throw to second base on occasion in starting a double play. Nice! Still have NEVER seen an OF,2B or SS catch a foul ball and I have played 4 plus seasons in my solo fictional league in which I play out each and every game for my team.

Another way to tell, I believe, is that after the runner is thrown out at second base, if the sentence is ended with a period, it will be a double play, but if the sentece ends with ". . ." then the batter-runner will be safe at first.

Wow, I never realized things like this. Maybe it's because I use "Instant" for PbP speed and thus only get the essentials.

How do you people tolerate slower PbP speeds? Drives me up a wall.
