I think Jimmy Barry was rated way back by djday(?) in the early part of the non-HW string. He's in the encyclopedia at CornerWork.com I'll try to find the .tbdx file and post it.

Thanks for the ideas, Mike. May have to do Kapilow and "The Omaha Kid" (my family is from that area) as soon as I finish the 1980s thing I'm wading through. My poor, neglected 1940s universe also recently got a couple of other heavyweights I hadn't come across, courtesy of Rocco and Crusade.
