XP System Restore

I tried using the system restore feature to get my player file back, since players.dat suddenly become completely blank, and I restored it successfully, all my other files were back, but the OOTP Files remained the same. These didn't change at all. Are they supposed to stay like this, and is there any way to get my player file back?

You need to give me more info? What do you mean to get your players back?

Not sure that you are going to be able to get them back unless you specfically made a backup copy of your league. I could be wrong as I've never tried what you are saying here.

the copy is from a few years back. I still have all the transactions and stuff, is there a way to run this through the game and get the up to date player file?

If it is the same version of the game it should work though it would not be "up to date" it would be at the same point where you backed it up.

The problem is System Restore in Win XP only restores the registry, and other system file settings back to the way they were. It doesn't bring back, erased or corrupted files. Or other changes made in other programs. Unless you had made a backup of your "Players.dat" file then you are out of luck. Sorry it really sux when that happens. All the more reason to always backup your important stuff.

Also, Im trying to redo the transactions as the same thing happened to a different file, and before the season has started, all team and league leaders on the left and right sides of the screen are blank. I cant remember this happening before, is it supposed to be like that? Thx.
