I have an important question that i would appreciate it if someone could clarify. I understand that player ratings are fluid and can change, but will all changes in players ratings be reflected in the team's player development page? The reason i ask is because in a league i am in i dealt for an ace pitcher, since i have got this pitcher his ratings have done nothing but drop. KO's have dropped 3 for example, however none of those drops were reflected in the player development page. So my question is can ratings go up and down without being reflected on that page? And if so doesn't this leave a big loophole for commishes to change ratings as they please? Thanks

I am not 100% certain that the changes are always shown on the player development page. Does the league you are in use scouts? If so, that could explain the change in the ratings.

Commishes can change ratings as you say, but of course they should not, and this is part of the reason it is vital to have a trustworthy Commish. Commishing is a very tough job to do well, and leagues with a poor commish won't last long. Most commishes are great and will go out of their way to prove they are trustworthy by announcing to all GM's any rule changes, ratings changes, game problems etc.. Note about your Ace pitcher you describe - if you are in a historical league look out for some extreme player ratings changes in the rookie players. Not sure if that applies in your case. |

I assume you don't use scouts, or this would be another possible answer to the ratings drop. Even if all of your scouts in the league are set to Average, your scout could view the player quite differently then another scout. My other question is, how old is the player? I have seen significant drops in player ratings as players hit their late 30s. In most of these cases though, the player's talent also tanks. As Killebrew states, only talent changes are shown on the player development page.

The pitcher in question is 21 years old with very good talent ratings, when he came to my team his strikeout rating was at 14, it's now at 11. That's from viewing it off my team web page and nothing else, so scouts shouldn't change.
