Arbitration while moving from OOTP5 to OOTP6

We are experiencing some problem in an online league, where after having converted to OOTP6 some players become a FA to early (OOTP6 "adds one extra year to MLB Roster years"). I would like to know if this is a bug and if yes, what we can do to solve it, if possible

Is this a fictional league or is it a league using a created roster set? There is a problem with created roster sets in OOTP5 in which player Major League Experience wasn't accurate. What would happen is the roster designer would edit one player into another, but at the time there was no way to enter experience, so many rookie players would retain the year of experience that the old player had had.

This is a league based on a roster set. So your answer seems very logical. Do you have an idea how to correct it? Thanks for your response !
