Cato Base 6 HOF
After importing stats and then editing HOF, only 2 of 3 players I input are showing up. I re-did it three times and still only the 2 players showing in the HTML pages. All 3 show in the DB, but only 2 on HTML pages.
Am I doing something wrong maybe? Tia.... |

Had the same thing happen to me and I could figure out why. So I did a couple of tests and I came to a preliminary conclusion.
It appears to me that if you import stats, and the player does not play during the next season (sits in the free agent pool) and retires at the end of that season, then they will not appear in the HOF. I am curious if anyone else can corroborate this or am I having my own issues. |

Right, if a player doesn't have any major-league level, simmed stats, then a player page is not created for that player. This prevents making alot of pages for career minor leaguers.
Up until a recent update, HOF stats only included simmed stats and not pre-simmed stats. I have since changed this, so when you view a player on the HOF screen, you see his pre-sim and simmed stats. However, when the pages are created, it looks for simmed stats first for each HOFer on the list. If it doesn't find any stats, the player isn't listed. I can change this and have the player listed on the HOF page with his pre-sim stats. But, he still won't have a player page. |

brooklynbums - I think you've hit the nail on the head.
The player in question in my case was Rickey Henderson. He was an FA and the Cubs signed him to a MLC. He spent the entire season at AAA. No ML stats for that season, so when he retired he fell into the "player page not created" catagory. I suppose a simple workaround for this, providing you know a player will retire, is take control of the team and make sure he plays one game at the ML level then give control back to the AI. This way a player page will be generated and he'll show up in the HOF. Problem with this, how do you know a guy's going to retire? |
