Trouble with imported OOTP5 league

Hello,

I am having trouble with my imported OOTP5 league. No matter what I do, it ends up crashing. The date tends to be different each time, and it's only in just the one league.

I make sure and check to see if the common problems are there (a player in two spots, or an open spot on the roster) and despite none of these being the case, the game always crashes.

After it crashes, I cannot restart the league. If I try to reload the league, it crashes instantly. I cannot make any changes because as soon as I try to open my team page, the game crashes.

I have re-imported the league 3 times, and it crashes each time.

I love OOTP6, but it's getting to the point where I am just going to play it in 5 because 6 crashes too much.

I am running Windows XP on an AMD 2400+. I have two 80gig hard drives that are less than 1/4th full. GEForce2 video card with a TV Wonder installed. 512k RAM.

Any idea what's wrong? Could it be that I imported a league in which the season had already started instead of preseason or postseason?
