Radio Announcers

Using an idea from Bill Permentor and some samples he provided me, here is a collection radio graphic replacements (in the PbP box) that might be more fun than the radio. Included in this Zip file (on BCB Download page) are 23 radio announcers or related graphics that you may wish to use in place of the default game radio graphic.

It would be very neat if you could put a different radio announcer in the box depending on where the game was being played. I realize this could be done manually, I was just wondering if there was a way to do it automatically.

I replaced the radio with the WGN Radio logo. It's a small touch, but it definitely adds something to the experience.

I dont know, this may sound dumb to some of you, but I think it'd be cool if you could hire your own radio announcer (just like coaches you know) and the better their talent, the more "Radio Revenue" you get, itd just go in the category with Local and National TV deal, it'd just be a way to make a little more money and what not, and you could bring back old announcers like Harry Carray or any of em. I dont know, just thought Id mention it.

I made a little thing with the Baseball Tonight crew, making one with for Sunday Night Baseball right now. I just took a pic of Gammons and ect's heads from espn.com and put them behind a desk with the Baseball Tonight logo on it. If anyone is interested in seeing it I could put it up.

Wow! Thanks for the idea. My teams have "signed" Hall of Fame announcer Chuck Thompson to do PBP, and I think it's really a nice touch.

Now why didn't I think of that?
