Some of the league files posted contain 1000s of players (like all time greats, MLB best, legends, etc.) These files are great but a lot of the players "just take up space" especially if you don't sim minor leagues.
I am trying to decrease the size of a players.dat file to speed up simming and saving. Without deleting free agents one at a time, is there an easier/faster way to delete players? |

You can delete the entire free agent pool, in edit free agents (in League Setup). Turn financials off, release everyone you want to delete (or even delete whole teams), and then choose 'Delete All'.
I don't know if this is what you are looking for. |

Unfortunately, I don't want to delete all free agents just some of them. Of course, "some" in this case means 100s of players, so one-at-a-time is very time consuming.
