simming crash

Runing OOTP6 on a laptop, 2.0 Ghz Pentium IV M, 512 MB RAM. Game boots fine. I imported my OOTP5 career league, 2 8-team leagues using a roster file that utilizes real current MLB players, started in 2003. Am currently in 2005 season.

Import went fine. No qualms with process, very easy. Rosters, coaches, everything looks fine after import. Sim the first day of games, scores/boxes generate fine. Game proceeds to "Finishing Day", game crashes to desktop.

I reload the game, it automatically loads the default league instead of my created league. I reload my league, it has moved from the last day (4/21/05), when I had played the games, to the new day (4/22/05). All menus work fine. However, if I try to sim games, it crashes to the desktop again, this time without playing any games. When I reload the game, it has reset to the default league and I must reload my league again. This time when I reload my league, the game is still on 4/22/05 with none of the games played.

I deleted all of the games to be played on 4/22/05 and put them on a later date, leaving 4/22/05 empty. I went into the schedule screen, where it gives me the "Complete Day" option. When I click this, the game crashes to the desktop. I again reload the game, and again have to reload my league. The game has not moved off the 4/22/05 date.

It seems like the game engine is simming fine, and it moves on to the next date, but it's hung up somewhere where I can't sim the next set of games or move to the next day. I would guess the import process is hanging it somewhere... I haven't tried starting a new league, but I would imagine it would work OK...

Yes... I noted this problem pre-patch but figured I'd wait to post until after the first patch came out just in case. Unfortunately, it's still hanging in the same way.

Similar issue here both pre and post patch. Running OOTP6 on a Athlon XP+ 1700 with 768 MB RAM and nvidia gx400 video. Running on Windows XP Pro. Ran initial draft with no problem. Simulated first day's games and manually played a game. Tried to simulate a week and the game crashed (several times). Any ideas?

I am having a similar problem.

I created a league based on halofans rosters and edited the league to 28 teams (14 in each league, 7 in each division). I ran an intitial draft, and then began the season.

I can usually get through the first week, but the following Monday the game crashed when finishing the day (Monday). When I reload OOTP, it initially loaded the default league, but upon repeated attempts it now reloads the league that crashed.

The days games (Mondays) are completed, but when I try to sim the day the game crashes again.

I am running OOTP on:
P4 3.0
1 GB RAM
20 GB free space on HD
GeForce FX Go5600
XP Pro
