AAA switching to v6 needs owners
The Triple-a Baseball league will be switching to OOTP6 in a couple of weeks and as such we have some ownerless teams. We are a 28-team fictional league that will be contracting 4 teams during the off-season. Those teams are Syracuse, Scranton-WB, Salt Lake, and New Orleans.
Our league will be having a 3-round dispersal draft in addition to the standard ammy draft this off-season. The order for this draft will be random and will be determined sometime in the week prior to the draft. The open teams right now are... Ottawa, Indianapolis, Louisville, Fresno. If you're interested you can either post on our forums, email me at clinthays26@aol.com or catch me on aim at hays23. |

Wanted to put my .02 cents in here.....
Clint and Mike have done a great job with this league and, like most leagues around these days, they have struggled to keep owners who will stick with their teams through thick and thin. I have all the faith in the world that this league will succeed and I personally have enjoyed being a GM in AAA. Would love to see some fresh, new GMs come our way. Look up Triple A Baseball when you get a chance!

Can you tell me how an online league works? Do we actually play head to head, or are the games simmed?

the league has a website. the commish posts a file on the site which all the owners download. they then make changes to their teams and export. the commish runs the sim on his game and inputs all transactions. all the changes are reflected in a new file which is uploaded to the site after the sim.

Although I'm very very very new to this league I think that this is a league which is going to have a bright future. If you haven't been into a fictional league try it out- it's a real challenge and really different from leagues using real players.

We have a core group of owners who are willing to stick this out until the end.
There are things being discussed to keep the activity level up but also let the causal fan stay around and not feel that they have to bring the activity level up 100% in order to stay competitive. Thanks Art |

okay, so when drafting, trading etc, everyone sees the same ratings for the player (their true ratings) ?

Hey..we have no scouts, and of course minor leagues are on. And as far as your last question, yes everyone sees the same ratings for the player. Email me or IM me if you're interested. I'm the co-commish with Hays.

If you would reconsider contracting SWB I would like to take ownership.
I'm on AIM at PhillyFan2578 or email hornerb78@hotmail.com |

Ok, I've got his email. I'm headed over to the forums now.
EDIT: I signed up for the forums a few hours ago and still haven't received that confirmation email. Probably that dumb Hotmail application. Last edited by PhillyFan2578; 05-12-2004 at 04:46 PM. |
