Thanks much, Cato. As I'm giving the latest version a test run, I am finding it will take a little time to get used to it now being so much simpler to run.
Great work.

oK, i've got it downloaded.
now, i apologize in advance for my ignorance of computers. On the CatoBase program, I went to File, Options. I put in the league directory. Under that it says "Game HTML files." What is this asking for? What am I trying to direct it to? I feel like this is a stupid question, sorry...an explanation in layman's terms would be appreciated. |

Ok I'm re-reading the "ReadMe"....
"Game HTML Files: The folder where the HTML files generated by OOTP are saved. Player pages, box scores, and game logs do not need to be generated for Catobase. In fact, the only files needed are: league.html lnews.html ltrans.html" I don't know where I'm supposed to find these. Wouldn't they just be in the league folder? I don't see files by these names. Argh...sorry, i'm excited to get this working, I'm just clueless about this ****. |

Nestajones,
Those files are generated when you do a league export, which I think is under the "Online League Setup" tab in the game.

Game HTML Files
Quote:
I ran a computer scan for files called "league.html." Looks like they are in the Almanac, which is in my league file. So for instance, if under League Directory I put "C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP 6\History2.lg," then for "Game HTML Files" do I just put the same thing? Or do I add "\Almanac" at the end of it? gotta go to work, i'll deal w/ this tonight. any further help is appreciated... |

I imagine these are the same reports as what's in the Almanac, but I believe the Almanc isn't generated for 2009 until you press "Proceed to Next Season" after 2009. And you want to run CatoBase for 2009 before you "Proceed to Next Season," so you need to generate the files using the Online League Generate Reports tool. It's a tad confusing, but if you want some help tonight, grab me on AIM (gordyhulten) or MSN (gordy.hulten@insighbb.com), and I'll try to help out.

nestajones,
gordyhulten has it exactly right. It is entirely irrelevent if your league is a solo or an online league. In OOTP6, go to League/Online League Setup. Under Master HTML Report, select a Destination Folder, select No, 0, and No for the 3 options and click on Generate Report. It will take a minute or two and tell you when it's done. In CatoBase, the Game HTML Files should be set to the Destination Folder from above. matskralc, Where exactly are you talking about it? Here? Under League Miscellaneous Stats it lists the percentage of Offensive, Pitching, and Defensive WS for each team. This gives you an indication of where a team's wins came from. |

The reason I ask is because that would make it a lot easier for me to figure year-to-year leaders in Win Shares (which I use to determine awards). Unless, of course, you could provide year-by-year breakdowns in the Win Shares section.

Jeff,
Is it possible to display player salaries on their individual player pages without displaying ratings? I'm a "talent-only" league, but I'd still love to have salary information in my CatoBase. Thanks, Gordy
