FPS League with openings
I realize that this is an OOTP forum, and I'm an avid fan of OOTP and run a league and am in several others.
However I also am part of a great FPS (Sierra Front Page sports) league that has a couple openings. You don't need to own the game to be an owner and it won't hurt you either. The league has a rich history, great owners and a stellar web interface. Please take a look if you think you may be interested. This league is top notch and I'm sure would be a pleasure to anyone willing to committ to it. You don't need to be experienced with FPS but it would help the learning curve. Being that I am the "overlord" of this league, let me tell you a little about it. It's a very special league to augment your OOTP experiences.
The PTS system allows you to manage your team through any computer screen. Just log in. No game needed. Great people involved with this league make it a challenge, and fun. Heavy emphasis on creativity. We need some more people involved who have an imagination!!!

Too bad FPS doesn't work for XP or I'd still be playing it. I probably wouldn't have ever discovered ootp though.
I love the fact that it's based on physics instead of stats though. Been with the title since the '94 version and have all 3. |

Like we said, you don't need the actual game to participate in the GBC Prime or Deuce Leagues.

An Outstanding league
This is truly an outstanding league. The free agent bidding board should be mentioned here as well. This isnt a "guess how much a player is worth and end up spending $7mil on a player worth $3mil" league. It is an exciting process where you continually bid/rebid on players staring down your opponents in a game of "financial chicken"
It is all automated, no other FPS leagues come close, and even OOTP lacks in the user friendly area in comparasion. Just click the player you want, select a value and contract length, then sit back and wait until you get the automated message that you have been out bid. Then kick and scream as that division rival of yours one-up you on the all-star SS. Thats ok, because you always get a chance to one-up him back...none of this waiting 10 days with the highest bid, and then get a message saying "Sorry, but I'm playing elsewhere this year" Owning FPS is totally unnessesary, I own it, but I havnt opened it in a year and a half. The PTS (Player Tracking System) is 2nd to none. Player information is only a click away, far easier to access information than using FPS. I have been in this league over 3 yrs (realtime...not league time) and I can honestly say that we have the cream of the crop in owners. If you want to see if you are one of the best baseball minds around, this is the place to do it. Eric |

Yes, there probably is or will be. Talk to JQLorenz via PM.
