Closer becomes Starter
I've had the strangest thing happen in my 5 year old league. A team in the heat of the pennant race has just "converted their outstanding Closer to a Starter" in mid-August! He has won both of his starts too! And get this, the guy is my league's all time best Closer with 174 career saves. And he has 28 saves this year.
I suppose they think that he might be the key to getting them over the top! They also promoted an outstanding AAA reliever and made him their Closer. Has anyone else ever seen this? I'm impressed with Markus' roster management AI. |

The only problem I've seen with this is that when relievers/closers are converted they only pitch 3-4 innings, even if they're doing well. I think they should be stretched out but just drop in performance.....
Anyways, what is this pitcher's endurance rating and how many innings has he pitched per start? |

I've seen it in a historical league. I was looking in the free agent market for a starting pitcher and recognized a guy who had been a league leader in saves a few years ago. He had good save numbers for 3-4 years and now was in the free agent pool as a 20-win starter.
