good owner looking for a leauge. i feel like i'm writing a classified, but i keep getting into leagues where the commish putters out and league dies.

Here's a couple of links with league listings. The best thing to do is surf around looking for leagues that look solid and leagues that need owners. I'd check the forums of each league for activity and the rules to see how well thought out the league is. If the guy put alot of time into the rules, he most likely will be dedicated to the league.

I've said this a few times before here and stand by it...the best way to avoid the unstable leagues run by guys that will abandon the league upon the onset of their first girlfriend is to look into some of the more established leagues and become a beat writer.
Let the Commissioner know of your intention to make sure it's ok and set up some parameters. When an opening comes up (and other than a very select few online leagues, openings WILL come up) you will get significant consideration for the open spot. At that point you will already be familiar with much of the league rather than joining it cold.

All of the online leagues I am in are fantastic and yet, only one of them has not had an opening pop up in the last season (Cooley’s fiercely loyal Heritage Baseball League).

I think I have what you want. Im brand new, draft is right around the corner. Real players with rolen2002 rosters. We currently have 4 openings.
