Rehab Assignments

Anyone like the idea of implementing a rehab assignment option when a major leaguer comes off an extended stay on the DL? When I've had a player out for 30 days or more he tends to suck because of being out for so long. If the guy is out of options or has the right to refuse a minor league assignment than I have to place him directly on the 25 man roster when he's healthy. Instead I'd like to have him get a few ABs or Innings in the minors to shake off the rust. Perhaps in OOTP7 this could be added, with the limit being 20 days in the minors on rehab.

Any comments or suggestions?

I never thought about that, but I think that is a good idea. You see many of the players today before returning either pitching one or two starts on a rehab assignment for a minor league affiliate, same applies for batters.
Kudos to the great idea, and maybe it can be implemented for a future version of OOTP.
