Still crashing under these conditions

1. I'm using CBL Cards v2 rosters

2. I computer sim the first season

3. At beginning of next season , I add 2 AL expansion teams to bring league total to 32

4. Computer handles free agency.

5. computer handles 1st yr player draft.. and

6. When I try to get the computer to run rule 5 drafting, It crashes every time.

After crashing, and after I re load the game. It keeps crashing every time I hit the rule 5 draft button

If there is anything you want me to try different, let me know..

Try a different kind of league.

Also, try turning the Rule V OFF during the expansion season and back on after that year.

Ok, I did the above conditions with a fictional league.. same thing.. crashed at the rule 5 draft. And I tried a real and fictional league with rule 5 draft turned off for expansion year and it didn't lock up. I will get into the simming when i can get time..

New patch did not fix the most basic problem ... can not play or sim games beyond the 1st week ... today's schedule will not offer choice to play more games after 1st week is logged.

Steve, things seem to work fine on this computer but not at home.

I'm going to delete some more files and defrag my HD.

Maybe this will help. I read an earlier thread where somebody suggested having at least 7GB free HD space. Is that about right? More or less?

That's more than enough, I think alteast 1 GB is about what you need.

Steve, then I should not be having this problem.

The problem is on my home computer (Pent 4; 20Gb; 650Ram); 1MB+ video, 750+ MHZ)

Video Display is set to 16-bit.

1st - I've imported my historical league from OOTP5 (works fine on work computer). League is set to "replay."

I re-imported my players from OOTP5 after I installed the new patch.

I have the same problem at home as I did have at work - the patch seems to have helped at work but not at home.

I can only play or sim about 7 or 8 games before the current days schedule essentially blanks out. It shows the days schedule of matches but there are no pitching matchups shown and there is no "play" or "sim" button in any of the game boxes.

The games does not recognize this as being the current day.

Any suggestions?

There is a game on the previous day or some other reason why THAT day isn't getting processed.

Are you certain that every game gets played? Can you do other things within the game except for playing the games on that day? What exactly does the program do?
