I was interested in your league until I read your RULES, sheesh, you word it with less tact than if Hitler was running the league.

You know who you kind of remind me of...? Do you know Tom Mills? And if you aren't Tom Mills, then I wonder what happened to ol' Tom? Anyone know?

Pat, he may be referring to the first paragraph of your League Rules:

quote:
The Commissioner assumes the duties of scheduling games, simming the games, and controlling the league basically. He assign's owners to teams, and will kick any owner out if any suspician has floated about. He want's treated as you would want treated. He also will tolerate no harrasment of other GM's. He also does the web site keeping things in tact.

Hate to sound critical but get a spell check on that league constitution! And a grammar check! You would probably do better in recruiting serious GM’s if your rules didn’t look like they were written by a kid.

What is “suspician” and how does one “float” it?

Well the grammar and spelling is one thing. But I was a part of NOBSL, which was ran by Tom Mills. The guy was the Commissioner, and he was running several other teams in the league.

My major problem lies not in the grammar stuff, but more on the lines of limiting free speech. If I suspect cheating, then I will "damn" well say so, and the Commissioner can kick me out, but that is a highly suspect statement. There are several of them scattered throughout his RULES section.

Forgive me, if I sound like I am attacking, but I would encourage you not to serve as a censor and a commissioner.

Thank You

I would also suggest that you not use a serpentine style draft for the rookie draft.

Yes, he ran the Braves, because he pumped up all of the Braves minor league stats, and he also went through and changed their contracts. He had Betemit signed to a cheap deal all the way until 2007.

STILL LOOKING

The draft is right around the corner about 10 days away. But yet we have 5 openings. The league needs to fill the spots fast as its time to settle down and try to even form a waiting list. The following teams are available...
Philadelphia
Toronto
Texas
San Deigo
Montreal

WSBL- New Site

Again, make sure you read the rules and are clear on how it works. Email me at wsbaseball@lycos.com or post on here with your email addy, sn, and team that you want. Or email that to me, or even use the message board to do so.
