Creating HTML reports in OOTP5

When you create HTML reports in the Online League Options folder in OOTP5, should you create a new folder for each year, or should you just create them in the same folder every year.

I am just starting to use the CatoBase (which is super awesome, by the way) and don't want to screw it up.

Thanks!

Depends on how you are doing this.

Basically, here's my process for Catobase now.

Say my league is called Current.lg and is at the end of the 2005 season, here's what I do.

1) I open the league in OOTP5 and create the HTML files in whatever folder (say c:/leaguesite) and close OOTP5.
2) I then have created a folder named Current under C:/ (so c:/current). Under this I created a data folder and website folder. I also created a leagues folder and subfolder of 2005 and copied the contents of the Current.lg league to this folder. I do this mainly for backup purposes so I can always restart if I need to.
3) Open CateBase and set the data directory to that c:/current/data folder and the website to c:/current/website folder. Set the HTML folder to that c:/leaguesite folder. Set the league folder to the c:/current/leagues/2005 folder.
4) Hit import and everything should go fine.

I do this because it keeps everything in one folder at the end. It's easy to find everything later on, especially since CatoBase will now move all the data into a subfolder of the data folder named for the year of those exports. So that along with my own backup makes it easy to find everything for that year.

After you've done the import you can delete the c:/leaguesite folder because CatoBase copies everything it needs from that folder (league.htm, lnews.htm, ltrans.htm) to the data/year folder that it creates.

I hope that isn't too confusing.

Thanks for the help! I didn't realize that you could just delete the OOTP5 created HTML files after you run Catobase.

If you are reading this, Mr. Cato, this program is fantastic. Thanks so much!
