Stickware schedule generator & stuff

I've been playing around with test leagues in V6 prior to firing up my solo fictional league. Someone had posted a work around to the Stickware problem of not working with 4 divisions. I followed the instructions, and am pleased to say it works. This was my first time using the generator, and I was wondering if someone more familiar with it could explain what that "Seed" function is all about. It's not clear from the readme.txt. Thanks.
On a lighter note, the game generated a catcher by the name of Dwight Eisenhower. What's next...Milliard Fillmore..."Silent" Cal Coolidge?!!

Basically - if you change the "Seed" you will get a different schedule.

You don't have to change it though.

But how does changing it affect your results? Just random?

Pretty much. You get a different schedule result and then take the one you want.
