I think you have to register first though. Cause I don't see the download section either.

there are a few but i am adding more.......roughly about 30 minor leaguers per team, some have more and some have less, but that is about avg.

well me personally, (and im sure that CBL's and just about every other roster set is done the same way or close. sorry i had to plug CBL's cause i think his is pretty stinking good to) i have 4-5 almanacs for the minor leagues, i have numerous baseball america issues, encyclopedias, a few scouting reports (when i was working for the Arkansas Travelers in the Texas League) as well as what seems to be a million other "stats based books" that i get these from. When i make a solo roster set, it is much easier because you can go off what scouts say and report because that is their talent level, but doing a roster set for a league takes a little more tweaking, i think anyways. But its really a cluster of info that i have. Just about all of it is accessible to everyone except for maybe the scouting reports, but the only reason i have those is because scouts from other teams would use them and then toss them, give them to fans, or go into the office and drop them off in there (for whatever reason i dont know) but these reports can get EXTREMELY detailed all the way down to one i saw last year from a Phillie's scout that was checking out some Angel prospects (no idea why) and made mention that Jeff Mathis "has a tendency to pull his head on 'defensive' counts." Now im assuming that it means Mathis pulls his head on 0-1,0-2, and 1-2 counts....i mean these reports are really interesting. I use those as well. They are from this year and last year so they are pretty current.....im using everything but the kitchen sink...hopefully this next one will contain the kitchen sink, but i have an obligation to family, school and the 7 leagues i run so i can get stuck every now and then lol but have no fear, it should be out by Friday

Something you could look into for next release...
Not to have every base-stealer with max speed and steals. There's something like 44 5/5 guys in your roster set. Guys like these, even with decent OBP, get like 75, 80 steals. If it is a good hitter like Ichiro, we can see 90 steals a season. Maybe also take a look at the performances from 2004 for guys that might have been injured the past few seasons, or had off years, ie Jose Lima, Jeff Weaver, Odalis Perez, Chan Ho Park, Mike Maroth, Jose Mesa, Armando Benitez, etc. Also, since I know the Dodgers well.... Dodgers had the best ERA in baseball last season, but they don't seem to show it this season. We lost Brown and Quantrill, but we still had a good staff with the likes of while guys like Ishii, Martin, Alvarez, etc. Dodgers traded Aaron Looper back to Seattle for Glen Bott. The guy that originally went from LA to Seattle for Looper, Jolbert Cabrera Green at 1B, Roberts LF, Encarnacion RF. (really petty, but just in case you have time) How about giving Nomar max contact talent. For all his lack of patience, giving him higher contact will make for a more realistic batting average.

All those things can be looked at.......the main thing i was trying to do was get it out for solo use, and each individual player can adjust those things themselves.....as for the steals, that has been adjusted on this new set
. when it comes to Looper still being on the Dodgers, that was a brain fart on my end and that is nothing to fix but the other stuff is not much to adjust so it would be nothing to change

jbmagic- lol its not my job, i just do it to pass some spare time
here is some of the books i have used: 1.Baseball Register (1998-2004)-Sporting News is the editor 2.Complete Baseball Record Book (last 3 years)-Sporting News is the Editor/Author 3.The 2004 Bill James Handbook (2 seasons worth)-Bill James and John Dewan (spelling on that second name may be off as i am at work and don't have the book with me) 4.Official Major League Baseball Fact Book(1997-2004 editions)-The Sporting News and MLB are in charge of this book. 5.Major League Scouting Notebook (2003 and 2004 edition)-Sporting News and STATS INC. 6.Baseball Prospectus 2004-Baseball Prospectus (i think that is what it said) 7.Baseball America 2004 Prospect Handbook (2 seasons worth)-The editors of Baseball America. I also use several stats based web sites, periodicals that i either DID or do subscribe to, i.e. Baseball America, Athlon, Street & Smith, etc...... As for the transactions, i use 3-4 sites and for the minor league transactions, i use Baseballamerica.com (sometimes), Minorleaguebaseball.com, and the actual Baseball America magazine. Rarely i go to other indie sites that may have some info that those dont, but i try and get a reliable source. I am also a subscriber or "Inside" on ESPN and sometimes they can come up with some pretty good stats/splits. When it comes to how i find out their stats and ratings, well on OOTP 6 im still tinkering with it, but as you know on OOTP you can input, for example, the # of homeruns over 550 AB's vs. LHP and so on. So what i do is take the total # of AB's they had in recent seasons (most of the time 2-3 years)divide it by 550 for the 1st number. I take the number of homers (example we used earlier) over the same time period and divide that by the 1st number i came up with and i will get a number with a decimal place (like 23.87985476) then i take that and round up to 24. This mean that "Player A" will hit 24 homers in 550 AB's vs. LHP.....mind you this is all an example player and numbers. If you still need help understanding, hit me up on AOL or email and ill try and go in depth. ridge-the way i recommend that you do it (my wife is a programmer and she taught me this way, and im slow when it comes to computers so im sure you can get it lol) is to download the file, dont create a folder, and extract the file into the OOTP directory. That SHOULD do it.....if you are using it to over write a league you already have, you may want to search that league folder because it may have been extracted to another folder in that league folder.....if oyu still have problems, let me know (duckfart76@comcast.net) or on AOL-halofan26 YES i am an Angel fan, since i was 4....i remember the 1st game i went to in 1979.....game 2 of the L.C.S. vs. Baltimore.....im not that old but after typing that, i sure feel it *sigh*

i will do it once a month every month until i cant do it anymore......the server that we own has plenty of space and our bandwith never reaches its limit so i have all that i need to do it, plus with the help of my wife
......i am doing a logo set and a photo set as well......I like to think that it is MOSTLY accurate, but im not really happy as i am an "eye candy" type player, i like to have the player histories, the current photos, the exact histories of the players, blah blah blah.....and that SHOULD all be done by May 1 unless i can talk my son into bothering mommy for a little but then i may get it up by Friday hehe
