Start windows Paint (Start/Programs/Accessories)
Open you JPG, than select File/Save as... and in the
save as type list box, take the 24-Bit Bitmap and
press save

or go here:

www.irfanview.com and download irfanview. Open of the program> go to file>batch conversion/rename. There you will have options to convert all of the pics into bmp at one time. Follow the directions. Its very easy to do.

IMO we are best off abandoning that sinking ship that is Off Topic to the rats infesting it and just starting a whole new Baseball Forum from scratch.

Why was the choice for .jpg removed?

I must have missed the reason behind this. Why was the option to display the stadiums in .jpg format removed?

I stand corrected thanks. I had downloaded a stadium set last year in .jpg format. I had completely forgotten that I had to convert them.

You might be remembering that Markus had mentioned that he was trying to code support for other graphic formats into the game, but it was causing the game to be unstable, so he gave it up for now.

A bummer, but hardly a crusher.

I use my Paint Shop Pro program. I open up a stadium in Paint Shop Pro, and click Save As. From the drop down box i scroll down to the .bmp format and click it. After you save your stadium in .bmp remember to delete the previous one that's in .jpg or you may still have problems hardcorebubba.
Lastly you may have to go into League set up and click on Edit Ball park. Choose Park to Edit, then after doing so type the extension in the Picture file and In-Game Field Picture ie Ankit\Tigers.bmp
Hope this helps

True I remember him saying that. Since I had converted the stadiums to .bmp when I first setup OOTP5. I had completely forgotten whether he actually implemented it. Now I see he hasn't. Like you say a bummer, but not a crusher...
