1993 schedule.dat
This is something I thought I would share since the csv schedule importer seems to function in a way that's probably not quite as user friendly as hoped. If you want to host the file go right ahead. Enjoy.
Here’s the official 1993 schedule as played that season. For fictional league enthusiasts (me), this schedule will also work quite well for a custom designed league: 2 leagues, 2 divisions, and 7 teams per division making for a 162 game setup. Each year the schedule that generates will give you different match-ups and dates, but basically remain the same in terms of games played and stuttered offdays. If you have used the TigerFan's fine schedule files in the past you should know where to go from here. I entered this data by hand and manually deleted double-headers that compensated for rainouts, then moved these games to their proper date as seen fit. Each team plays 13 intra-division games between one another and 12 each against the rival division – no interleague. You will find this makes for a fairly balanced schedule and the better teams over the course of the season are not aided by padding wins off of divisional weaker foes. This is the last schedule used by the MLB before the expansion of the league in 1994 (thus to the three division format we are all familiar with today….) To use this file follow these instructions: - Backup or overwrite your current schedule.dat in your league - Unzip 1993.zip to the league folder or else move it there - Rename 1993sked.dat to schedule.dat and place it inside the intended league’s folder - Open the game and use the league setup drop-down and click edit schedule - Set the Year Starts On to Friday and make sure the season starts April 5th - Manually enter the All-Star date to July 13th (if it exists before you have added it, delete it and re-enter the date) |
