Game “Disappears”

Since downloading the game on Friday, I’ve been unable to play it. When I open the game I see the main menu screen for less than a second before it appears to minimize itself. The game is on the taskbar, but it won’t open. I’ve tried turning both Direct 3d and Sound off, but to no avail.

I’m running Windows XP Pro with SP1 and have 1 gig of ram and a 1.8 P4 processor. I’ve got a GeForce4 Ti 4400 and a Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum soundcard. I’ve also got around 200 gigs of harddrive space. Hardware is not the problem.

Any ideas?

What screen resolution are you running? Color depth?

Ahh yes, forgot about that. 1280x1024 and 32 bit colour.

Check the following to see if it is working properly:

In XP: Control Panel>Admin Tools>Services. Make sure CtrLic is enabled.

Yep, it says that the LicCtrl service is started.

I think I've fixed it. It doesn't like one of the programs I run in the background. I can get the widndow up and use it now it seems. However, I cannot move the window. I've tried the right click on taskbar and move as well as grabbing the titlebar and dragging it around. Anyway you know of to fix that?
