game ready?

who were the beta testers and did they do a great job? is the game ready for release? everyone waited, impatiently at times i admit but im surprize at the problems that the game has. hopefully the problems will be repaired soon, but still a long time to wait for the game and have these many problems upon release.

I would venture to say that 99% + aren't having any problems at all. There are issues every year with the initial release and Markus takes care of them as fast or faster than any game producer that I've ever seen.

I haven't had a chance to play much yet, had a pretty busy weekend, but from what I've read on the board things seem pretty good. The problems that have crept up seem failry minor and I'm sure as long as Steve is making a good list, they are all either being fixed now or will be fixed very soon. The first patch should be able to take care of most issues.

On a related note, it does seem that a large number of "problems" being reported are due to issues with "roster sets" not put out by the creators of the game. The making of roster sets is a very large undertaking. Nobody has made a roster set yet that consisted of players created in version 6, there just hasn't been the time. The problem is in the conversion of the ratings and nobody said that players would transfer to version 6 flawlessly.

I'm sure those that are running the game with no problems at all aren't stopping by the boards every 10 minutes to report how much they love things. You will always see more people posting with problems and dissatisifaction at this time of year. The majority of people are to tickled pink to be playing to post. Eventually you will see more people posting when they have had more chance to gain insight to what works and doesn't work with the new engine and settings.
