Well ya can't please them all. Fantastic game !! Having to put a little work into getting your league started? Gosh, that's a darn shame.

What I'm getting at is, yes, it's realistic.
I guess that you can't rear either & what you said made no sence. I don't see any players in OOTP6 not getting the bonus they wanted & staying in college. Also Bonuses are a HUGE majority of the contract. What kinda bonus did Bonds get? Helton? A-Rod?

Bad example. Joe Borchard went to college.

I am sorry if I offended anyone with my criticism. I was trying to say that Markus could be making OOTP a better game with a minimum effort on his part.

I realize that tweaking the game engine is his priority, but it makes no sense to have MD-DOS path requests in a game written in 2004.

I would bet he could correct that problem with minimum time and effort (especially compared to his effots on baseball engine itself).

(And there is a good reason to do what I am suggesting. Imagine if CASUAL fans could EASILY play OOTP. If the game were easy to set up, there would be lots of new fans.....which means new purchasers... which would make everyone happy...)

Most players drafted get some kind of signing bonus, not just the first round. A good friend of mine that I played with in High School got drafted last year in the 21st round or somewhere around there and got 170,000 for signing with the Mariners. Another friend of mine from the same High School team just a year younger than I, has already accepted a scholarship to UC Davis and that means that teams will be reluctant to draft him because he has a backup plan if he doesnt get the money he wants.

FWIW Sir Real, I agree with you. I'm not making any assumption on level of effort, but there are a number of areas with minor quirks that, collectively, make the game harder to use or reduce the immersion factor. Nothing major, just little things like the pathing issue you mentioned, various spelling errors, the fixed resolution (and no ability to at least move the game to a corner of the screen for those of us running at a resolution higher than 1024x768), the ratings pulldown reverting back to "Batters ratings" each time a different position is chosen and a few PbP quirks.

Um...I run at 1400x1050, and I can move the game window wherever I want.

Just a stab here, but are you using a roster set?...if so, make certain that all the teams have their lineups and pitching rotations filled in...if there are blanks in the line up or rotation on any team, the game will not sim properly....

I've set rosters, checked other team (all set to Computer mngd.) rosters and depth chart for duplicates, but can't simulate.
