Bare Knuckles Era

As mentioned in a thread in General Discussions, could the bare-knuckles era be emulated in some way. It would be great to pit Jack Johnson against Mike Tyson in an unlimited rounds, last man standing bare knucks battle or to see how long Ali's float like a butterfly would last against Gentleman Jim Corbett.

What an exciting feature that would be!!!

I agree. This would be an interesting option. I have been researching on my own the bareknuckle days. I am attempting to rate some of them for use in the game (very hard considering there isn't much to go on but exaggerated written accounts). But half the fun is gone pitting Jake Kilrain and John Sullivan together in a scheduled 15 round bout....I want it to simulate the London prize fight rules of the day.

But how would you write the code for something like that? I've read that fighters, when in trouble, would often drop on their own to get a quick rest from being beaten...that wrestling holds above the waist were permitted....I would think you would end up adding new attributes to the fighters??? As much as I would like to see this option too, I would rather more work be put into this management module and game performance itself...But maybe someday the "Bareknuckle Era" can be an expansion pack??????
