Future Availability Of OOTP5 question

I am currently building a website for an on-line league using OOTP and commish Joe's BOSI.

I will be starting with BOSI for OOTP5 since that is the current version.

My question is: "Will the other members of my league be able to purchase OOTP5 once OOTP6 is released?

And, if we must use OOTP6, will my players from OOTP5 convert over to the new version without any loss of statistical integrity?

I would appreciate an answer as soon as possible so that I may plan my website accordingly and inform my friends and the players in my league as to which vesion of the game they should purchase from OOTP.

Yes, it will continue to be sold.
