Hopefully those new screenshots will be out soon, since the games a little ways off I guess

Today is the official MLB opening day.

Standing by my computer right now to download OOTP6 like I have the past 3 OOTP new version releases.

Markus, today is the day!

Argh....

THESE ARE MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS HERE.

Why is it so difficult to see it this way....

NEWSLETTER said....

"Out of the Park 6 is rapidly approaching beta testing and should be ready for release around Opening Day!"

APRIL UPDATE Post said....

"Unfortunately, I was moving to a different house, and this move (couldn't be delayed, btw) cost me about 1 week of development time, and I was without internet as well. Anyway, beta testing is going at full steam, and I still believe we will be able to release the game before April 15th if nothing unforseen happens. However, we will only release the game when we think it is stable and all new features are working as advertised!"

Potential early release post said....

"OK, today I have been thinking about a possibility to get the game released sooner. The only real big feature that needs to be put in is the internet head-to-head mode. It is already 50% implemented, but I guess getting it done 100% and testing it properly will take 1 week. So, the question is, I could leave this out of the initial release, and concentrate on it fully for the first big update, which usually is 2-3 weeks after release time. What do you think, would you mind if I left this feature out of the initial release to get the game out sooner?"

Looks to me like April 15th is still the best date we have. Who hasn't been reading the same posts I have ?

(sorry for my frustration, but it seems clear to me)

Good call, Henry. Unfortunately, do you think anyone will pay attention to logic, reason and facts and relax for another week or so? From the posts I have read up to this point... I doubt it.

I will be happy when the game comes out no matter when it is. That being said, I think where the problem is...is in the interpretation. I could easily see someone interpreting the posts as saying:

1. That Markus would try and get the game out by April 15th and that would be fully complete (i.e. with H2H done and in the game)

2. That implementation of the H2H would take a week, but that the game could be released without H2H which would shave off a week from the release time

3. Deduction would be that saving H2H for a patch would take approximately a week off the original April 15th date, thereby moving the release date to April 7-9th...somewhere in there.

Again, I'll be happy when the game comes out, and my guess for the polls has been April 9th since the beginning. But, I can see how people would deduce the above and would be expecting the game any time now.

Regardless, we should be thankful that Markus is so devoted to his work and provides suck a good product with great support. Can I get an "amen"? LOL.

Now that we have doubleheaders, will tripleheaders work? Quadrupleheaders?

Wouldn't April 15 minus the one week for H2H leave around April 8?

Why is everyone still trying to guess a date? Markus said it won't be done until at least next without H2H.

If you all remember correctly and it's posted in the OOTP5 forum. I predicted the game would be out in 6 weeks and 6 days which happens to be April 13th. Don't make me put the link up.

Why would it be the 13th if he's predicting 15th WITH H2H? And why was my post asking the same question much earlier deleted?

There has never been a FOR SURE 15th with H2H, Markus has used words like "hoped, like to, etc". I've said it before and will say it again the game release IS NOT IMMINENT.

Well at least you know now instead of hoping each day! Sorry to hear it, I am going nuts myself and this game is the only thing giving me a distraction from life.

Thank God the release isn't 'full of danger'.

I once bought a game, and inside the box was just the word 'danger', a copy of Dangermouse on DVD, and a bunch of 'Danger: Highly Corrosive' stickers.

What a useless bunch of miscellany.
