Nice Ballpark Images...

If anyone is interested... I have some very nice actual color photos (bmp) of stadiums (point of view: directly behind home plate but a few rows up) of some great stadiums... it is a zip file (about 14mb)... even have a few 70's and 80's ballparks, except for Baltimore and Cleveland's old stadiums (or is it stadia? haha)... if you happen to have those two send them to me if you dont mind. I am at hseritt@bellsouth.net

actually you could use either stadiums or stadia. both are correct.

sorry it took a while to get back on this... unfortunately, the pics are very intense and therefore i cant find enough free web space to have them set up on a server, if, hower, you want them just email me and ill be glad to send them to you. Ill even do one better, if you have a lousy dial up connection and do not want like 15-20mb coming to your mailbox then ill send it to you on disk in the mail. I found out just recently it doesnt cost that much to do so and thank God there are not near as many simmers out there as I thought.

hey thats very nice... of course, I do not remeber when that park was still around... i didnt start watching baseball until 1977. Which years was it around?

I have been to those sights looking for a good picture of the Met to use in the game. I find it hard to believe that after 20 years of ML baseball in that stadium that a better picture cannot be found. I have searced from several different sights and it just seems there is nothing out there. I wish I still had some of the pictures I took there when I was a kid. By the way I was there for Harmon Killebrew day in I believe 1974. Taking pictures from the 3rd deck directly behind homeplate. Have no idea where those pictures ended up. You'd think someone out there with an old Twins yearbook could come up with a good shot. I'm going to keep looking sooner or later something will turn up.
