Greatest Generation Baseball is Expanding

The Greatest Generation Baseball League is expanding in 1954 (we're just wrapping up 1951).

However, since we draft two seasons ahead of time, the GM search must begin now as the expansion teams will have draft picks in the 1952 draft (which will draft players debuting in 1954).

The league is finishing it's 11th season and has a solid and committed group of GMs. We'd be looking for serious GMs who are up to the challenge of building a franchise from scratch.

A few notes - the expansion teams will get first crack at the PCL players who will be coming into the league in 1954 (the expansion basically operates under the assumption that the PCL is being absorbed by MLB).

The league's current membership is voting on which 4 franchises will join the league, so I can not specifically state what your choices will be, but can say that they will all be historic PCL franchises (LA Angels, SD Padres, Hollywood Stars, etc are the choices the GMs are currently voting upon).

If you would be interested in becoming the GM for one of these teams (the teams would begin play in 1954 which is probably about three to four months away, but you'd be responsible for drafting in the rookie drafts for 1952 and 1953 and would receive league updates) - please email the commish at commish@legendsport.com

The benefit of signing up now is that you'll have 2 seasons in which to scout the league before your team takes the field.

OK - turns out that one of the expansion GMs I had signed up is willing to take the existing Red Sox opening (and Ted Williams), so there is another slot open now.
