dood, I live in the ****hole- frigging snowing in March, windy and rainy, and an all round pain- 4 years of this- not to mention bars that close early and drivers that think traffic laws are optional- and are unable to merge into traffic. Deal with it.

I've got Pitt going to the final four before losing to Gonzaga in the semi final.

My final 4 are Gonzaga, Pitt, UConn, Duke

Well the bars closing early has been a real problem for quite some time.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the ACC has already claimed being the #1 Conference this year, and many years down the road. BTW how's the ACC doin in the tourney? oh yeah, 6-0

They're definitely the best now, but I don't think they will be for years down the road. Don't forget that next year the Big East loses Miami and Va. Tech and gets Marquette Louisville, Cincinnati, etc.

I would say that it is hard to say what conference was the best this year until you get further in the tournament.

With that being said. . .Hait to Pitt!

WE ALL WE GOT!

That depends on how you look at it. If St.Joes wins the nat'l championship, does that mean the A10 is the best? NO

Also, it's all about matchups. UCONN has an easy path, and PITT has a rough path....The ACC played some tough teams as well:

Maryland vs 'Cuse
UNC vs Texas
Duke vs Illinois
NC STATE---ugh, blew that one
GT-Well, I don't think anyone wants to play Nevada right now.
WF-Played the most dangerous high seed in Manhattan

Don't get me wrong, alot of teams played very tough teams, I was just showing who they had to go through as far as matchups. The ACC is looking at 4 heavy weights in the conference in GT, WF, UNC, DUKE in the next couple of years. Those 4 look like they could be legitimate #1 seeds.

The Big East will be interesting to see a non "Ben Howland" team on the floor from now on in Pitt. UCONN should stay tough with only losing Okafor, sp? to the NBA.....but there are some teams like Cincy an Louisville who now have reputations for 1or2 an done in the tourney.

The future of College basketball and its parity is amazing.

The Big East is set though. . . Howland's success at rebuilding Pitt was based on his ability to understand how Big East basketball is played. He recruited guys that played the style, so I'm not sure what you meant by your comment.

Dixon was his primary recruiter if I recall, and with it's new facilities and good reputation as one of the Beasts of the East, Pitt will continue to draw players from New York city, the greatest recruiting grounds in all of college basketball.

Anyway, my comment really was directed at the three power conferences, the Big 12, Big East and the ACC, but I understand your point.

I've been going for UConn in the tourney. Only because I went to high school with Hilton Armstrong and played on a CYO team in Mt. Vernon, NY with Ben Gordon in 8th grade. Gordon was incredible, even then.
