It would be cool if stadiums could have slots for 3 images: One day pic...One twilight pic ...and One night pic.
The program could pic the appropriate image depending on the start of game and time of year. Program could also automatically change image as game progresses: A 7 o'clock start in July could start out with "day" pic, then switch to "twilight" in 3rd and "night" in 6th. Or actual time could be calculated by pitches thrown. Also the "mound visit" feature for MVP 2004 sounds like it will be pretty cool. I would love to see a similiar feature implemented for OOTP6. |

One word.... Expansion... It seems EVERY sports sim out there is totally overlooking this. With the exception of an earlier version of FOF, I havent ever seen Expansion in any text sim.
Also, expanded minor leagues, maybe add a High and Low A and a rookie level team.... I hate drafting a 17 year old and sticking him in A ball. And lastly, spring training games and Arizona Fall league. Add these with the 40 man roster, waivers and Rule V and I'd be in heaven. DB |

The why would you want to see fielding %? They are not that good of an indicator of how good one is defensively.

We already see the fielding % the players are imported with...my request is to see the player's current fielding %.
Although fielding % may not be a good indicator of total defense, wouldn't you want to know what % of the balls the players get to result in errors? Ex. If you have 2 comparable LFs offensively, both with A Arms and A Range, but one had a fielding % of .990 and one was at .890...wouldn't you want to be able to see that "ingame" rather than clicking on each individual and then checking their fielding stats? Just my opinion....I would. |

I'd like to see the option of putting a player on the DL retroactive to when he got hurt. Injured players miss a lot of games unnecessarily (after they've recovered) due to the sim schedule.

With Markus adding the option to make your batting order and then your depth chart off of that; I was thinking that a detailed backup option would be nice like we have for pitchers.
Something like a "first bat off the bench" option for a pinch hitter.

2 little things that have already probably been suggested........
1)Get rid of the "Drop player here to release" box and replace it with an option in the player screen (or have both......) Reason: It bothers me when I forget to "clean out" my minors system for a few years, and then have to click on each player to check ratings, and then drag and drop to the red box (a.k.a., me being lazy) 2)Categorize the player history reports. For example: History for SP Matt Yeatman, 37, Cincinnati Reds Quote:

Im not sure if this has been mentioned above, but a couple things Id like to see:
Intentional beanings. Seriously. The computer beaned my allstar leadoff hitter in the top of the 9th in a 10-0 blowout in my favor. Broken hand. Out 2 months. Thats just BS right there. You better believe that if I could, the first two or three computer batters in the bottom of the 9th are going to catch a fastball to the jaw. This should tie into suspensions too ... my pitcher would be tossed and suspended for xx games. A ratings tracker. Im not sure if Cato does this or not, but Id like to see it in game. Similar to the Career Stats page, Id like to see a Career Ratings page that lists the players rating at the start, current, and end of each season year by year. That way you can see the development much easier.

AI Managers
I play a solo league and have the AI play all teams but mine( I especially like to play the GM)This game has everthing I have always wanted to do with a baseball simulation, however, your competitor has one thing that I liked. It would be cool to have all the teams have managers that can be hired or fired (like the pitching and hitting coaches). They can have their own profile and stradegy ratings. So the manager can have an effect on the outcome of the game. They can be more like players in respect to have a history page with their win/loss records and a Ratings page and Also a Scouting report on their manageral abilities. But here is the cool part, incorporate some of the retired players into the manager pool.Who wouldn't want Ozzie Guillen to breath life in a stuggling team or have poor Ol' Alan Trammel suffer even more with a Tiger team.

Welcome to the boards, Southside.
Here's what I've been trying to get going so far, with the help of all the other posters. Please give your thoughts and any suggestions you might have, because I'm trying to get a complete-yet-simple-enough model presented to the powers that be. With enough support for the idea, they may just go for it. Here you go: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...threadid=62023 - Dan

closers who actually convert saves
I would like to see closers who actually convert saves. Pllaying in manage only mode, every time you bring in your closer, you are guarenteed to lose. Nobody ever seems to convert a save for human conotrolled teams. This has become such an issue that it has made the game unplayable.

Yeah, I play around with a solo league, and have the inestimable Ryan Wagner as my closer - in the last year and a half (taking me halfway through 2006 with the Halofan rosters), he's converted 61 of 69 save opportunities. |

More advanced .csv files. In other words, the ability to export data that, currently, can only be edited within the game itself (e.g. player salary, leadership, pitcher's pick-off rating, etc.). I would also like to see a separate import/export .csv file feature for fielding ratings.

Let me re-iterate my earlier post - the ability to export/import all editable data (ratings, player salaries, leadership, pitchers' pickoff rating, etc.) onto a .csv file.

I have another idea (forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but I didn't have time to read all of the posts) - not pulling a starter who is pitching a no-hitter, unless he has exhausted his effectiveness.
