Rookies??

Ok, having a problem again with loading rookies. I started a solo league in yr 1999. After season, asked for import real rookies---clicked yes. Put on same team?-----clicked no. Then put in C:\STATS for the place to get them. I loaded 3 total rookies. Thats all.

Im using lahmans db 5.0 comma delimited

I have this db unzipped in my c:\STATS folder also.
Any ideas of what im doing wrong?

THe db is faulty, check the mods forum for an updated one.

sorry Steve, but ivetotally screwed something up. I checked the forums as you posted, decided to dl the ankits modified db and unzip it into my C:\STATS folder ALONG with my lahmans db5.0 and i started a test league. I brought in on 200 players total. I started in 1999 again and it brought in the like of Lou Gherig and several other older players.

help me lol im lost here

No idea, have you changed ANY details about the league? What version of the game are you running?

Not really sure, I don't play "historicals" and have not heard of any other issues. Maybe someone more familiar can shed some light.

Homa, in the master.csv file of the database is a field called debut. This is what the game uses to figure out who to import for a given year. If you downloaded the database and asked to import 1999 and got Lou Gehrig, then something is definitly wrong there.

I would try to delete the league folder you created (but was messed up), re-unzip the Ankit database, and try again. If the problem continues, we may be able to go from there.

Do you have Excel ? If so, you can open the Master.csv file with it and sort by debut, and see who is supposed to be imported for that year. If you dont have Excel, you can open it with notepad, but the formatting may be to confusing to deal with.

Check back and let us know how you did. I play historical leagues almost 100%, so Im sure we can get you through this.....
