I know that the newsletter said that there were other new features, but one I didn't see there that I am interested in (and no screenshot either) was the updated newspaper Markus once mentioned before. I am just curious if that has been updated.

I remember a discussion mentioning custom reports. Is this going to be in? I would love to see something like Cato's utility building to the game.

I believe in another thread Markus stated that the news system in OOTP had not been updated as of when he posted.

Correct. He mentioned that the new game engine took most of the focus, so he hasn't been able to work on updating the news feature, or something to that effect.

My pre-order is in. I have been playing since the OOTP3 days and although I have never really been a "message board" guy. I just want to say that this game has taken amazing leaps and bounds. Congratulations Markus on creating a top-notch product, and saving me from wasting money on High Heat Baseball.

Actually the last High Heat wasn't a waste of money.

Sadly with 3DO going tits up, the franchise is dead. Microsoft bought it, and there's no sign of a PC version. There's a shocker...

I think the last High Heat was a waste of money.

However, my PC is loaded to the brim with simulation games, so I get my baseball games (other than OOTP obviously) on the PS2.

I had been a loyal High Heat buyer, but I was less than impressed with it last year, so I switched to MVP this year - EA do the best Dynasty sports games anyway, thank gawd they finally did away witht he arcade crap that was Triple Play.

Dunno what I would have done otherwise.

No player progression.
No position player fatigue.
CPU-controlled teams carrying 15 pitchers.
Little or no walks.

Hell of a game that MVP.
God, I can't wait until OOTP6 is available.
