I'm worried about converting OOTP 5 to OOTP 6 with the addition of service time.
If a player is on the DL, does he count against 40 man roster? |

Love the new MLB style roster rules - that will be a lot of fun to try.
That being said, here is a question about batters for markus or the group based on this shot: http://www.mirror1.ootpdevelopments....ens/sreen8.jpg There is a obvious difference between contact and batting eye (a batter can make great contact while swinging pitches way out of the strike zone like Vladdy), but what is the difference between contact and avoiding K's for a batter? |

A player on the 15-Day DL must be on the 40 man roster, but not if a player is on the 60 day DL.

Wow, I dont know whats cooler: The screenshots, or the realization that I am such a huge OOTP geek that pictures with text on them get me that excited.

I can't wait for things like the 40-man, waivers and service time. Now, if I can just get Expansion included in the game, with expansion draft, my life would be complete. Although, with the 40-man roster, it will make it easier to decide who is eligible for an expansion draft or not.

What can I say that hasn't been said already? This game looks awesome! Two questions though.
1. What Cuss asked, will OOTP5 Skins work for OOTP6? The screens look pretty much the same. 2. If you play with 38 or 40 teams, can you see them in the schedule screen now? Thanks! Joe

OOTP 5 skins will work for OOTP 6, but you may need to copy the button graphics that come with the game into your OOTP 5 skin folder....

I'm in total shock! Wow! I can't believe there are going to be waivers, 40-man rosters, and Rule 5 Drafts. I thought I would have to wait forever! Now I can't wait to get OOTP6!!

Four minor requests, Markus:
1. Has the 255 rollover bug been dealt with? 2. Also, would it be possible to put the location of Lahman DB and whether to import players to original team or have a draft as options in the league setup screens. Its frustrating to re-type the location of the DB after every year and makes the "Sim X Years" useless. 3. Has the financial co-efficient been built-in? 4. Will the league totals and the recalculate buttons (including for historical accuracy) be properly explained in the manual so there will be no room for differing opinions on what it is how they work? Overall, I am happy with the changes and new features and will be pre-ordering the game.

Any news about online league stuff? Such as head to head play, being able to discuss contract extensions with your own players and signing them yourself.. etc..

How closely will the new transaction rules like Rule 5 resemble real life? There are so many rules in real MLB that I don't know how you could program them all in or even if it would a good idea to make it as complicated as real life.
Do you have to keep your rule 5 draft picks on your major league roster all year? Is the AI able to handle this complexity? Looking forward to the game. |

Markus,
Is there a way to trade draft picks in this upcoming edition? Out of all the OOTP versions, that is the one thing that I wished the game had. Granted there is not much trading of picks in MLB compared to the NFL, but I believe it is a necessary aspect of the game. Thanks!!
