I really dont know what the answer could be. The -1.#IO error and the gaps between the players are the only problems Ive run into.

I had one idea I PMed - one player, Eugene Holt, had some strange stats that might be the cause of the divide by 0 error. I don't have a lot of confidence in this solution though, it's just that he is the only player in the entire csv that had played in the playoffs yet had 0 IP. Longshot but I am thinking that maybe the OOTP History does not have the same validation logic working on the post season stats as the season stats.

Nope neither work
![]() I still suspect it has to do with Duncanalfred476 when its determining team for each game. I would like any solution possible to this! Otherwise our league loses its history, which would be a shame.

. As I had no problems doing those steps I just assumed it was during the html output stage. That means the csv files are fine, but the games html files are probably causing the problem - feel free to email these (zipped) to me if you want, no promises for a solution but I can go through some steps. The OOTP html files don't need the player pages, so the zipped file should not be too big.

Sorry for not responding sooner Janzard, but I've had the same results. The CSV imported fine and I haven't seen any weird data.

Processing Trade Info...
Calculating pitching stats for each team DuncanAlfred476 thats where it errors out YOU WANT ALL THE HTML FILES except players? Do you want all the box scores too?

FIX!
ITS SOLVED!
I recieve this email "Good news Jon - there is a fix specifically for your issue that is on the way from the developer of OOTP History, Jeff Cato. I explained the problem and FWed the files you sent me to him and he discovered the problem in the app. As for when the app fix is done I cannot promise anything as that is Jeff's decision, but in the meantime you could try a workaround fix I did based on Jeff's instructions." The file was sent to me in email... but for those who get this problem in the future, there WILL be a fix in the program everyone! "Replace the pitch_game.csv file you have with this one and the import should work - you may need to start the DB over if the previous crash corrupted it's data. The problem was that the app ignored the first game stats for traded players and Duncan had his single inning in that 1st game before he was traded. I changed his game by game stats to be 2/3 innings in game 1 and 1/3 inning in game 2 so the divide by zero error should be gone now. Best, Killebrew" Thanks to everyone that helped me, including Killebrew hopefully this will get stickied so everyone knows a fix is coming for this most common problem.

Good news Jon, and full credit goes to the developer Jeff Cato for solving this one - thanks Jeff, hope you don't mind the publicity.
About an update: I let my enthusiasm get the best of me here, those sorts of decisions are completely up to Jeff. Regardless of that, it's great news for all of us that he is still enthusiastic about his OOTP History program. |
