Invalid Player File

Hi all,

I am a first time user of league. I tried to join a league and I downlaoded the league file and unzipped it into the right place, but when I went to open ootp 5 I got an "invalid player file". Does anyone know what causes this? I sent a email to support but if I don't fix it tongiht, I could miss out on this league. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you don't have it properly installed. Are you CERTAIN that it is in the correct place and not inside of another folder?

I am not sure. I went ahead and removed the league file. should I try to reinstall the league file. Because when I unzipped it. I unzipped it into ootp5. was that the right place?

I am using the Free version of WinZip and I am unzipping the file into ootp 5 now. We will see what happens. Thanks for all the help. Also there was no "use original path of file" as it was suggested on the board.

At any rate, thanks for the help, I hope this works becasue I want to try these leagues.

Hi,

No, it didn't work. I was wondering if there is a way I could re-install ootp5 and see what I could do to get rid of "Invalid Player File."
I wish I could figure this out, lol! Can someone help me?

OOTP will try to load the last league that you had open. Did you delete the last league that you had been using? Also, make sure that you have the default career OOTP league in your directory since OOTP will load that one up by default when other leagues are missing.

Thanks for your reply. This is my first league that I am trying to get in. But, how do I check if I accidently got into another leage? That way I can delete it. I got to get AIM,lol. The default league? I know that when I looked around there was a league for 2003 on the game. Maybe I should get AIM on chat with people live, huh. Thanks again,
