Era specific players

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that the new game being developed by .400 (used to be PureSim Baseball, now called something I can't think of) will generate fictional players with era specific attributes. I.E. if you have the era set to Deadball, fictional batters will have very low HR ratings and pitchers will have very good endurance.

I personally don't care much for homers and think the game is more interesting without them, so I usually play deadball. I understand how league totals work, but it seems like it would make more sense {and be a whole lot easier for me

} to base an individual players' results on his individual ratings.

I'll be checking out how TotalProBaseball (PureSim) does this for sure...that would be fantastic
