History Runtime Error 11
Runtime error 11, division by zero
Anyone know where this is coming from? And how to fix it when I run OOTPHist.

are you using the newest version? This is an error I got in pervisus versions, but I thought Cato had fixed it in the last release. it happens when a pitcher has an infinate ERA. You can edit stats using MS Access, but I was never able to get it to continue unless I deleted the player from the data base for that season

You don't need Access, as this is a problem in the CSV files.
The problem: There is a 99% chance this is an error where a pitcher has zero innings pitched and gets 1 or more runs scored against him. It might have occured in the postseason or with one team if he played on multiple teams. What you have to do is look at the scv file within MS Excel and search the IP column for 0's. When you find a 0 check if the earned run column is 1 or greater, is yes then change the 0 to 0.1 or some low amount, this will get rid of the error. This is a pretty rare error but it comes up more frequently with leagues that do more trading during the season, and leagues that have very large rosters and a high volumes of FA pickups/releases throughout the year. |

oh yea, and it says "duncanfred476" is where the error occured
and when i look at his stats in the game he doesnt have 0IP and 1+ER. He in fact pitched 1 scoreless inning, and in the minors he pitched 15+ innings at both levels he pitched at.

Regarding the player the app stopped on - check him first, then the player right before and after him in the csv file. Remember that if the player played on multiple teams or if he played in the post season you will need to check multiple rows for the same pitcher. |

So i am not finding anything with this guy involving an infinite ERA.... so if anyone knows another reason its doing this, or perhaps would like to examine my CSV files themselves.... please let me know

In the file "player_batpitch.csv" do a search for:
-1.#I0 or somthing like that. I usually just change it to 0. Another problem can creep up on you also.....In the "players.csv" file, make sure wordwrap is off and that every player only has one line. If a player has more than one line, the import will crash on that file. The first fix is whats happening with you now though.......... |

-1.#IO
thats what I found, and replaced with 0, unfortunately, that did not work... I got the same problem

Did you replace all ? There may be more than one guy with that problem. I have 28 seasons of my league in Cato's OOTP4 util and those are the only two problems Ive ever encountered.

When this is figured out, it should really be stickied...as it may be rare but it is the most common Cato's problem...and frustrating when it happens after 20+ years
