4.0c patch problems

I was hoping someone could help me with my recent difficulties with the game. I had been enjoying OOTP4 immensely until I got the new patch at which time I started experiencing two glitches. First, the game now will only let me sim about one week before it freezes up entirely and I have to shut the game down. I have tried to clean up my computer, delete some files, etc. and this does not help, it still freezes. Second, right after the freezing problem started I looked in the minor leagues for my team and all the others and found that about 10 pitchers per minor league system had been erased and in their place was a pitcher with no name but a square followed by a period and all their ratings were 10's excpet for velocity and giving up runs which were now 0's. I don't know what happened but it all started after the patch. Is there a way to uninstall the patch and go back to 4.0b? I would appreciate any advice you may have for me, thanks.

It sounds like you league got corrupted when the freeze happened.

You can go back to 4.0b if you still have the zip you dled. The patches just overwrite the ootp4.exe file, so just unzip 4.0b back into the ootp4 directory.

thanks, so I suppose I could just unzip another 4.0c if no one else is having the same problem...correct? Anyway, love your logo...GO O's!

Another possibility is that your d/l of the 4.0c patch got corrupted. Try d/l'ing it again, see if that helps.

Resetting your league might fix the problem, but it sounds serious enough that you may have to start a new league or use a backup if you have one.

Try running automanage. I had this problem when I updated to the B patch.
