Run-Time Error 3021 in Cato
I get
Run-Time Error 3021 Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record When it says 'Assigning Free Agents to Teams. I cant figure this out, I've imported fine for the first 12 years, and now it wont. It gives the error right after the tea m abbreviations. Any ideas? |

The most obvious answer is a field in the team ID table that pops up is incorrect, changed or blank. I would check and recheck these fields if I were you. Have you expanded the league or changed a team name since the last time you ran Cato History?
If that is not helpful please confirm, clarify and describe fully the exact OOTP History step you are in when you get this error. It sounds like the error comes up right after closing the Team ID pop-up that confirms the team ID's are correct, yet you mention free agents. |

I've been getting that one too...
For me its been in a historic replay...in which I do change the teams names when they relocate...change the abbreviations for the DB importing, as well as team nicknames and stadiums.... Luckily I winzip the end of year .lg file each season as well as zipping up the history files (all of them) after each successful completion of the utility generating the HTML's.... I'll look for that and post to see if that is what it was. Its always the smallest things ya never think of....lol |

Note: By 'incorrect' I mean like team names ending a period (like N.Y.), new divisions not having names assigned, duplicate team ID's.
Also note: The team ID screen that pops up during the data import in Cato History can be very flakey sometimes, I would guess that some strange characters like a carriage return can sometimes get entered by accident, since the only way I have been able to fix some rare errors here have been to actually delete a field and retype it or to mess around with the MDB tables from within MS Access. |

I got the error (Error 3021: either BOF or EOF is True, or
the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record has occured") just as the program was working on the website index... only 12 of the 16 teams are listed in the league directory after the error... This is the initial, 1901 season of a long-running league (just putting the Catobase together now)... |

I was having the same problem, I checked my team file as suggested and found that for some reason Boston was missing from the Red Sox for that year. I typed in the city name and it seemed to resolve the proble

I am running the Catobase for NABL, and 1901-1906 run smoothly..... solved all the problems that have been encountered.
Importing the stats for the 1907 season, and after the Edit Team Abbreviation screen comes up, it gets to the Assigning Free Agents to Teams and hits me with the above-mentioned "Run-Time Error 3021: Either BOF or EOF is true, or the current record has been deleted. Requested Operation requires a current record".... I check the abbreviations and they are constant for the league so far.... as well, the team .csv file seems complete... |
