A Response to the SSBL Post from fanzerpaust

I know that thread was closed, but i wanted everyone to hear my story on it to help clear any confusion, and so that the SSBL doesnt have a bad name because of this kid. (Karen i know this kind of thing is something you dont care for, but i wanted to keep my league "free of this bad rap", you can lock this thread if you want so that people can just read it)

First off, fanzerpaust, as many people may or may not know, has a brother. some people think the two of them, Jordan and Ethan, are the same person. That is false, they are two different people. I found that out the hard way.

For a period of 24 hours, Ethan was put on probation until i figured out if they really were two different people. I apologized to him several times, and let him back in the league. His brother Jordan, was not let back in due to poor behavior and starting fights on purpose with other owners.

The other night, as Ethan pointed out, he posted that he was recently kicked out of the SSBL because of an article that he wrote. Here is a copy of what one of his posts from the other thread stated:

"Me and the CHW GM had a rivalry goin on. He said my team sucked(we were the best in the league ) And i said his team wasnt good. We talked a lot, and argued a lot. So, one day i was bored and i decided to write short article that might give people something to laugh about cuz the league was kinda dead at the time., it went something like this:

Late last nite, the CHW gm was on his ranch when he tripped and fell into a humongous cow pie. He was hospitalized but we do not yet know his condition."

CHW did make comments to Ethan about his team, but from what i understand he didnt go as far as to say that his team sucked. He made some comments about trades he had made, and how he wouldnt have done them himself, and at the time Ethan's team wasnt in first place yet. That is when the whole deal started with Ethan and his brother ganging up on CHW. I talked to both Etahn and CHW, and I thought everything was under control. Then 2 nights ago, Ethan posted his article. Except what he posted is not exactly what he really did write. It was much crueler, and in very bad taste. Several owners in the league came to me and said it was very offensive. The article was removed, and any posts even remotely referring to it were deleted, as that kind of garbage has no place in the SSBL, or in any league.

On top of that, CHW got a IM message from Ethan's brother Jordan the same night talking trash and saying very offensive things to CHW when he wasnt even in the league anymore.

I stood up for Ethan when I made the mistake before, and I ended up going against my better judgement. He basically said "F U" to me and did this to our league. Plus with the fact that he couldnt keep his brother out of our hair when he wasnt in the league anymore, I had no choice to kick Ethan out of the league. And with the conversation I had with him after I told him he was kicked out, just proved to me that i was in the right for doing so.

I apologize to everyone here in the OOTP5 message boards for having to deal with this (again.) But i do not think that the SSBL's reputation should have to be affected by this.

Ethan was and is the only person that seems to have a problem with this league. I believe i have done a great good of handling this league to the best of my ability. And i'll bet that anyone in this league, or any of my other OOTP and High Heat leagues, would agree that I do no cheat, and am a great owner and commish.

I believe the missing part in said article was "He was taken to the hospital after ingesting large amounts of fecal matter", give or take the proper grammar (I really don't think he wrote it in proper English, but who am I to nitpick about grammar in a joke that is obviously from Elementary School?) But yes, he was allowed to return to the league after it was proven that these two trolls are actually brothers (Lesson #1: Never let to siblings join a league together, ever, or 2 people who use the same computer, just leaves you open for trouble...), but he decided to carry on this little feud (must've been bored), and that led to his final expulsion. Being in the league, I felt the need to monitor the situation closely.

It is now safe to say that SSBL is 100% Troll Free now, and proud of that fact..... And a note to other commishes. If someone applies for your league with the last name "Speizer", buyer beware.....

The only thing that was hurting the rep of the SSBL was the kids you just got rid of, keep up the good work and you do a nice job.

Just wanted to jump on the Zuber bandwagon

I haven't been a member of his league yet, but I've dealt with him a lot about hosting issues. His attention to detail and desire to help people is admirable.

If I had the free time, I'd join his league in a heart beat.

I just inherited the team the beginning of this season. I let Raderick have my Dodgers as I figured they would be easier to fill then the Aces.

My rotation is awful, but don't overlook my awful lineup too. My pitching staff is so terrible, that no one gives my offense the credit they deserve.

I figure I MIGHT have this team up to .500 level in, say, 5 years.

I am the Padres GM in the SSBL and I just wanted to say that Phil does a fantastic job with the league. The only problem(s) we had were with the brothers and Phil handled them like a pro. It's one of the best OOTP leagues I've been in

Phil- I can safely say that fanzerpaust is not going to get anyone to believe his crap- hell, I think kicking him out is one of the better things you did.
