Web Design Question
I was asked to design a site for an upcoming OOTP league. No problem there. The problem comes in the guy asked me how he could update the site once I created it. He knows no HTML, and doesnt have a program like DreamWeaver or Frontpage.
Any suggestions?

He has to update it some way, so at least a basic html knowledge should be necessary. I suppose you could try and clearly mark areas in which he types in the text by using the < ! - - - and - - -> tags. Still, he would have to know how to open it and have some understanding of what he sees.

Netscape Composer is what I use for my site which is either good for updating with or without HTML knowledge. It's also free.

Some computers have a program called Frontpage Express, go to Start menu, then Accesories and check through there, depending on what you are running for a computer/os depends if it is there I think. Also search www.download.com for html editors.

I use dreamweaver MX and frontpage....he can also just use his notepad to edit stuff, but I don't think that's the best way to go for a rook.

Netscape composer is an excellent tool for beginners or advanced html users. Take a look at my web site which was created by using its non-html features as well as some additional html input. Oh yeah, did I mention it was free?

I second the Front Page Express nomination. Nice little program, with none of the kinky stuff that the full blown version of Front Page has.

Frontpage Express is the only good one I have seen in the past. Go to Google and type in the search FrontPage Express.

I only use Dreamweaver MX! Front Page sucks!! Also I am shocked people pay to have their site HOSTED if you have DSL you can get 5IP's for next to nothing and use APACHE and host it yourself...Don't pay some scmo money to host ur site CONTROL YOUR OWN DESTINTY...Open Source Good MicrSucks BAD
Yes Netscape 7.1 has Composer on it which would be ideal for a novice
