Cool Wow. I think I have the person my pitching award will be named after in a few years.

I was poking through my career leader rankings for my solo league I'm running, looking to see who I should name my pitching and batting awards after, and I noticed an amazing feat by an active player.

As I said, he's still playing (I don't know for how much longer though, he's 36, going on 37 in August), and so far over his career he's compiled these stats:

Code:

4 No-Nos, 3 pitching awards, a couple world championships...300 wins, 3600 Ks, and just like a good wine he gets better with age. That is definitely impressive. I'll have to take a look and see, but I don't think I have anyone who can quite rival those numbers.

Oh yea... and he owns the leaderboards. He's also sporting a career WHIP of 1.03, and is 20-9 for postseason play, with 216 k's over 286 2/3 innings. This guy has a enough postseason time to qualify as a whole season of its own, practically.

Great pitching story...sounds like it is time for me to once again refer to the great Cliff Markle.

It seems like he missed a lot of All Star games. Is it a large league?

Yea, it's 36 teams, so he had 18 teams worth of competition.

Allstar appearances are worth a LOT in this league because of that.
