Problem with Cato's OOTP History

Whenever I try to make a new database, it says "Multiple-step operation generated errors. Check each status value.". What is wrong?

BTW, I am using the 5.3 version of OOTP History and CommishJoe's Exporter 5.
Thanks for any help.

try opening the database anyways and see if it opens. I've had this same problem before, as well as some other people. You'll still be able to use the Cato utility, it's just going to be a pain in the butt if you've got the same problem I do. Basically, you have to put all of your files in whatever the default directories are listed as.

Yeah it opens but when i try to edit the options it gives me the same error. I'll try doing it without editing them and see if that works.

One reason that Microsoft Access will generate that kind of error message is because of a string with invalid characters. Did you make sure that no team names end in a period? Are there unusual nicknames or funky ascii carriage return type symbols in the names, cities or nicknames fields? I'm not sure where else to look, this is not a common Cato History issue, but I have helped Access DB users correct the same error message by looking for any invalid characters.

Some MS help info here (http://support.microsoft.com/search/...&srchExtraQry=)
but this will require some heavy reading ana many of the suggestions won't apply. If I were you and I really wanted the program to work I'd probably try variations of the following: Uninstall MS Access and OOTP History, then reinstall OOTP History and see if it works. I'd definately want to uninstall/reinstall Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) version 2.7.

If you are using the lahman/ankit databases sometimes the nicknames come through with invalid characters. I generally delete the nicknames from the master.csv file before I move it to the data folder to be used with the history database. Just one thought. Also make sure that no teams end with a character other than a letter/number.

I'm usin GForce's TotalMinors... I made sure that all the team names dont end in with a character other than a letter/number. I'll try uninstalling Microsoft Access and OOTP History and see if that works.
