a different kind of sim
Hello. Many of these sims on this board are team sims. I come here with an exciting new sim. It is called the WBL, no relation with the league in the posts below. We are a player sim that has been around for a while. It is simmed through OOTP5, but you do not need to have the game do play. The games are simmed nightly (5 a night). We have an incredible commisioner who is always available to answer your questions.
It basically works like this. After you create a player, you have 20 attribute points and 10 non attribute points for hitters, 15 for pitchers. Attribute points are for either for hits, doubles, triples, homers, walks, and avoiding strikeouts for hitters. For pitchers, it is avoiding hits, avoiding doubles, avoiding homers, avoiding walks, strikeouts, and velocity. If you are a hitter, you're non attribute points are running speed, running ability, sac bunt, bunt for hit and arm ratings if you are a catcher or outfielder. If you're a pitcher, you're non attribute points are all the hitters plus reliever duration, starter duration, holding runners, and groundball %. Both pitchers and hitters can update fielding percentage and range. After that, you join a message board much like this one. There, you write things like articles, interviews, trash talks and biographies of your players. These get you points that you can use to better update your player. Finally, we have some things that no other sim has. We have a fantasy baseball portion, where you create a team filled with WBL superstars. You also can have your own player card made for you once you join. We have 12 teams, spanning all 7 continents of the globe (Yes, there is a team in Antarctica). Just in case this helps make up your mind, these teams are the Antartica Chill, Cancun Riptide, Great Britain Red Coats, Frankfurt Force, Iceland IceCats, Montreal Menace, Caracas Cougars, Seoul Storm, Dublin Fighting Irish, Santo Domingo Rush, South Africa Lions, and the St. Louis Stallions. All have dedicated owners who help this league succeed. This league is incredibly fun and I urge all of you to join. If you have any questions about this league or how to start, either leave a response here or im me at nycguy2662. The homepage: http://thewbl.vzz.net/index.htm The message board: http://xsorbit3.com/users/thewblman/ Note: When you first see the message board, the only forum you will be able to see is brand new members. Don't worry, there is more to the board, just this keeps banned members from making new sn's. When you post there to be able to see the rest of the board, please post that NYC_Pride reffered you. Thanks. Last edited by NYC_Pride; 01-29-2004 at 06:18 PM. |

Of all the cities that could represent the good ol' U. S. of A., you pick Saint Louis? I think there's some midwest bias going on here!
